About the Editors

Michele Fiorini (MBA, PhD, CEng, FIET) is chief technology officer of the Electronics Division at Leonardo S.p.A., Rome, Italy. A distinguished expert in maritime systems for civil and military domains, he represents Italy at IALA and NATO (NIAG). He has co-edited two previous volumes in the IET Transportation Series and is a recipient of the 2025 Leonardo Electronics Innovation Award Special Mention for his pioneering work in generative AI and robotics.

Dorota Książkiewicz (PhD) is an assistant professor at the University of Gdańsk, Poland, where she specialises in transport policy and economic integration. Her research focuses on global supply chain resilience, efficiency, and the green transition. A prominent academic and coordinator of international business-university projects, she provides the economic and regulatory frameworks essential to the digital transformation of maritime logistics. Her work ensures that technological innovation is grounded in sustainable and competitive business strategies.
