Energy Solutions for Aquaponics
Using the agricultural energy internet
In line with the increasing electrification of agricultural production, aquaculture systems are becoming an important type of agricultural energy load. This book discusses key energy issues in aquaculture systems, and explains how agricultural energy internet technologies can support the development of modern aquaculture.
The aim of this title is to develop an energy solution framework for aquaponics agricultural systems. It systematically introduces modelling approaches for aquaculture energy systems, energy optimization and scheduling methods, and load control strategies, while also analysing key technologies for the coordinated operation of agricultural energy systems and power systems. An important feature of the book is the construction of a complete technical chain from theoretical research to engineering application. The content includes theoretical models, laboratory studies, conducted at a national-level research platform in China, and real-world engineering case studies. In addition, the book provides data-driven program examples and links to short videos recorded in laboratories and real engineering sites as supplementary materials to enhance readers' understanding of the presented technologies.
Intended for an audience of researchers, graduate students and professionals working in the interconnected fields of aquaponics and agricultural electrification, this book offers a systematic framework for creating energy solutions for aquaponics.
